Its always a dream for many to go out of india,longer distances; Its my previledge happens to me one of perfect executed (officially) and enojyment wise (seeing as many places in south of North America including lots of world famous beaches); My trip started on march 5th bangalore to dubai and then land in USA (houston) port of entrance. Remember its my first visit out of country, there is always little glee at passport/visa verification center, but its all few minutes - (suppose to)boarded again to Austin from houston with 40minutes of landing break - which we got luckly time extended becoz of some of the staff who board the flight were late to flight. We (one more colleque of mine) landed to austin around 1.40pm (afternoon 6th march US time);
Reached near Dell Office @ round rock almost 20+ miles from Austin Airport, where we had booked residency hotel for our stay; Initially we were planned for this trip of about 20days, luckily we got extension two times, which for me happens to be around 85+ days.
Certainly this trip improved my confidence level, learn more about US people, US work cultural, facilities not just work related. etc.,
some of the places which I visited all alone, went off states for purely touring purpose, just amazing how to travel alone, if you have google maps and perfectly planned execution list - its amazing., Definetely not to underestimate paired experience, it would have been much better. Luckily I didnt had any problems what so ever, certainly not recommended for many people touring alien country singly.
Places Visited in Texas: Austin, Houston (can't forget the country music -stage performance), San Antinio (lake view walk (not that great personally for me), Dallas, Galveston.
Places Visited in Florida: Fort lauderdale, Miami beaches.,

Bangalore-Mysore trip 2011
Its a very simple one night two day stay (one day went for bandh, no transport - just walking allover mysore.). Reasonalbly good with just me and my good friend from chennai. We visited Palace, Durga Devi temple, Brindavan Garden. Happy to remember mysore is still conservative and nice environment still prevails inspite of IT encroachment and developments.
Bus route:
201 - goes to temple from central bus stand.
303 - goes to brindavan garden.
Better to go for daily vistors bus pass its Re.50/- only.

Chennai-Hyderabad Tour - 3 Days
My Experience During my trip with family from Chennai to Hyderabad.
Time Period: End of Dec, Christmas time period (luckily).
Is there any thing more joyful than making family (parent's happy) and close ones enjoy. . Certain not... Its my pleasure, I can full-fill my mothers request to fly in a flight in their life-time.
Our Objective was short and crispy trip-around. Since my work place was Hyderabad - My parents readily accepted to visit Hyderabad asides to my office. I started planning almost 2 months before i.e immediately after our big money spending festival Deepavali.
I started booking tickets by flight from Chennai to Hyderabad. Since we booked little earlier, total ticket cost was considerably less than usual cost which are higher during close dates of journey. As part of return journey we also planned to visit for KANAKA DURGA temple-Vijayawada on our (third day) while returning to Chennai. So, I booked my tickets in such a way we reach Vijayawada early morning(3rd day), freshened up, visit temple and again board train to Chennai.
We reserved our return journey - secunderabad to Vijayawada by Machilipatnam Express, which starts late in night around 10.45pm and reaches Vijayawada by early hr of 5AM approx. Other half way to Chennai by Rapti-Sagar Express which passes by 4PM. (Its a mistake I made in fact while booking (fearing more crowd in temple and will take more time)(Also it is that period of time "vaikundam-yaakathaesi", special for Lord-Perumal.)
Ideally its good choice to book-ticket by Jan-Shatabti Express which starts by 2.30PM.
We have our cousin brother settled in sec'bad, which helped a lot in our logistics and staying point of view, even though we booked separate hotel for a day.
Now planning is over for nearly 45 days before we start our trip, but all of a sudden there was big issue(Telagana issue) started rocking Hyderabad from Nov'09 beginning and continued till our trip start date. Its been critical time period where section 144Law was in-force all-over the City of Hyderabad.
I was some-how confident, Bandh and other stoppages will be over for my trip days
at-least. Two days before our trip I need to Board to Chennai from Hyderabad - it was almost standstill in the city, lots of trains canceled and luckily our train to Chennai was of different route than Warangle route, where epicenter of bandh was called and train tracks where damaged.
Our parents and my sister knew about all this news happening and quite disappointed about our trip. I was told by my friends as well to cancel my tickets. As I boarded for Chennai 24th Dec, there was still one more day for 26th dec'09, which is actually our strip start day.(If at all I cancel my tickets there will be almost 70-80% of my money would have gone, so I left it for last minute). As I reached Chennai next day, I read few newspaper mention bandh postponed for few days due to Christmas holidays. It was lucky Christmas'09 for us, where political circle called off there strike for another 3 days.
O.K so its almost Day of Journey, every one was happy and got ready reached airport by 5.30am (again I had few anxious movements as we are within 40minutes of departure).
Finally we boarded our flight and happy to see Actor Nasser on landing Hyderabad.

Day One

We Landed Hyderabd@8.45AM and then I immediately booked a Toyota innova Cab from Dot cabs (04024242424) . Within 10-15minutes, car came and started towards sec'bad, where my cousin brother stays. We Placed our luggage and had slight morning tiffin and started our first place BIRLA-MANDIR and Near By SCIENCE MUSEUM along with my cousin brothers family and children.
Almost 3 hrs we spent here, so decided to have food nearby itself. Once
we had good quick view of Chairminar & Mecca-masjid site and moved towards GOLCONDA FORT by 4.45pm. Almost we spent our end of the day up to 7PM here. Then I was slightly disappointed as it was fast phased trip, I couldn't show Hi-tech city and Zoo etc.. Anyway on my way back I decided to show my work office, so I took a short cut to Banjara Hills and reached LV-prasad Hospital/Cine max Complex and shown my work place at least, before we had another halt at Lumbini-park/Hussain Sagar/necklace road for an hour.
Its End of day one - we checked into hotel GuttiKonda residency which is reasonably cost and near to station around 10.30PM.
Day Two

RAMOJI FILM CITY - Ramoji Film City
Our complete Second day was inside RFC., we reached RFC around 11.30AM. We started having fun time with good memorable snaps all around film studios and had nice fun time with giant spin wheels. Then we had nice Buffet type veg meals inside the RFC, where I was slightly disappointed with the service.(The money we pay doesn't match with the service.) To much of crowd and it was not at all organized properly to serve.
Finally, we completed our Hyderabad trip reached my cousin's home around 8.00PM.
Day Three
=========
Vijayawada(Kanaga Durga temple) - It was my second visit to temple and hence I could guide my family easily. We started leaving the hotel and reached station around 10.30PM. Our return train is also safe and peaceful to Vijayawada. Once we reached, I was again disappointed because of no room availability inside station. So I went to nearby hotel and booked for half day stay and after few negotiation, hotel guy accepted. Around 9.45AM We reached temple and had NICE Dharsan and came out around 11AM itself. Slowly we started walking down from hill temple towards Back-Bridge to have good site seeing of Krishna-water reservoir.
Then we reached station about an Hour around 12.30PM. Again there was another twist(disappointment) came where our rati-sagar train runs late by 3 hrs and later 4 hrs. Finally we started boarding around 7.30PM to Chennai and reached around 3AM early morning.
